Why direct links beat “search for me on Google”

The customer who's just paid you wants to be helpful. They also want to put their phone down and go and do something else. Every extra tap between them and the review screen is one chance to lose them.

A direct link drops them on the “write a review” screen for your business. One tap of the stars and a two-sentence comment - done. A “search for me on Google” ask is at least four taps before they hit the stars, and a 50/50 chance they pick the wrong result.

In our own data, customers sent a direct link leave reviews about three times more often than customers asked to search. Send the link by the same channel you communicated through during the job - if you WhatsApp'd them about the booking, WhatsApp the link.
